CoAct Connect helps Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander job seekers find and keep meaningful employment
- For over a decade, we’ve partnered with local Indigenous organisations across Australia to help Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people find sustainable employment by providing:
- A friendly, local team that takes the time to get to know the unique needs, goals, skills, and experience of each person they work with.
- A personalised job plan and the right mentoring, training, and wrap-around support services to help put it into action.
- Job search guidance and help with an effective resume, tailored cover letters, and interviews.
- Access to Campus, CoAct Connect’s online customer portal packed with job search tools and resources.
- Assistance to access funding that can help prepare people with disability to get “job-ready” and start work with workwear, transport, tools, equipment, and updated skills and the confidence that comes with them.
- Ongoing support after employment.
Our employment services
Am I eligible for Employment Services?
You may be eligible for support through Inclusive Employment Australia, if you:
- Have a disability, injury, or health condition – confirmed in a current Employment Services Assessment (ESAt).
- Can work less than 30 hours per week – now and in the future, even with support.
- Live in Australia – as a citizen, permanent resident, or eligible visa holder.
- Are the right age – at least 14 and younger than Age Pension age, and of legal working age in their state or territory.
- Are not studying full-time – unless Services Australia approved it at the time of referral.
- Have Inclusive Employment Australia recommended – in a current and valid ESAt.
- Are not already working above their employment benchmark – based on usual weekly hours.
You may be eligible for personalised support via Workforce Australia if you are:
- currently unemployed.
- someone who will benefit from more intensive assistance.
- on income support with mutual obligation requirements.
