Youth employment services

CoAct Connect provides specialist support for young people with little to no work experience as they prepare to find and interview for a first job. We work side by side with young job seekers, working to identify their interests, skills, and unique needs, exploring career and training pathways that align with their employment goals.

Our national network of youth employment specialists connects young people with employment, training and education opportunities. First, we listen, then we put a personalised plan in place to help each young job seeker achieve the employment goals identified for their future.

Tailored support looks different for everyone and can include: 

• Job search assistance 
• Local job market knowledge-sharing 
• Help with resume writing 
• Job interview preparation 
• Mentoring and confidence building  

We’re passionate about helping young people find work through Australian Government programs such as Inclusive Employment Australia, Workforce Australia, Workforce Australia – Transition to Work.

You may be eligible for support through Inclusive Employment Australia, if you:

• Have a disability, injury, or health condition – confirmed in a current Employment Services Assessment (ESAt).
• Can work less than 30 hours per week – now and in the future, even with support.
• Live in Australia – as a citizen, permanent resident, or eligible visa holder.
• Are the right age – at least 14 and younger than Age Pension age, and of legal working age in their state or territory.
• Are not studying full-time – unless Services Australia approved it at the time of referral.
• Have Inclusive Employment Australia recommended – in a current and valid ESAt.
• Are not already working above their employment benchmark – based on usual weekly hours.

You may be eligible for personalised support via Workforce Australia if you are:

• currently unemployed.
• someone who will benefit from more intensive assistance.
• on income support with mutual obligation requirements.
