Our national network of not-for-profit service partners works collaboratively with NDIS providers across Australia, supporting their NDIS clients in finding sustainable, meaningful employment that suits their individual needs.
Disability Employment Services (DES) for NDIS participants
Disability Employment Services (DES) offers specialist employment assistance to help people with disability, injury or health conditions (including depression and anxiety), find and retain suitable employment. DES can also offer support to their employers.
By registering for Disability Employment Services (DES) with CoAct, your clients can access a range of intensive, personalised job supports, including:
- help to look for suitable jobs
- career advice
- work-ready skills and training including short courses and work placements
- resumes and job application assistance
- help to prepare for job interviews
- financial assistance for transport or work uniforms
- advice and access to workplace modifications and assistive technology
- regular ongoing support in the workplace
Refer your clients to CoAct and we’ll help them to overcome employment barriers and secure meaningful employment.
Who is eligible?
- living with a disability, mental health condition, treated illness or injury that makes it difficult to find and keep a job. This includes living with anxiety or depression, neurodivergence including ADHD and autism, a physical or intellectual disability, learning difficulties, visual or hearing impairment.
- an Australian citizen or hold a permanent resident, or on a Temporary Protection, Special Category or Safe Haven Visa.
- aged between 14 and 67.
- able to work at least 8 hours per week and no more than 30.
- are receiving an income support payment.
