Kerry story: Her journey from Community Solutions to IMPACT Community Services

A fresh start, and a clearer view of what’s possible

When Kerry first connected with Community Solutions (CSG), she was navigating a stressful and uncertain chapter in her life. What made the biggest difference from day one, she says, was her mentor, Khloie. When her provider changed from CSG to CoAct Connect + IMPACT Community Services, the same great service continued, and Kerry kept moving forward.

From the beginning, she was incredibly welcoming, positive and supportive, and her genuine care made a real difference during what was a very stressful and uncertain time in my life,” Kerry said.

Beyond the emotional support, the team helped remove practical barriers standing between Kerry and returning to work. They supported her to complete a First Aid course, assisted with car expenses, and helped with uniforms. One piece of support stood out above the rest: a new pair of glasses, meaning Kerry no longer has to juggle three different pairs to get through her work and everyday life.

What I appreciate most is that their support goes beyond simply helping me find employment,” Kerry said. “I feel that Khloie and the team genuinely care about helping me rebuild my confidence and successfully transition back into the workforce.

That combination of practical help and genuine encouragement paid off: Kerry has now gained employment with a organisation she describes as wonderful, taking the leap with far greater confidence, knowing her support network was still there behind her.

A seamless transition, a familiar face

When the change to CoAct Connect + IMPACT Community Services came, Kerry was worried it might mean starting over. Instead, she found the opposite.

The transition from Community Solutions to IMPACT was seamless. Khloie took the time to explain the changeover and what it would mean for me, which I really appreciated,” she said. “From my perspective, the best part is that Khloie remains my mentor, so I continue to have the same familiar and supportive person beside me throughout the transition.

That continuity of mentorship has continued to make all the difference.

Having someone who listens, provides practical assistance and encourages me when things feel uncertain gives me the confidence to keep moving towards my goals,” she said. “I am very grateful for the opportunity, the support I receive and the belief they have shown in me.
