Jesse, who lives with disability, has found work at Brumby’s during Melbourne’s stage four lockdown restrictions – some of the strictest COVID-19 lockdown measures in the world. He is supported by his Interact recruitment partner, Malak, who also managed to place 3 other job seekers with the same employer, despite them only advertising for one position.

Jesse’s Mum was so proud that she called radio station 3AW the day Jesse got his job, to tell the whole world.

“We are so happy… and very proud of his achievement… People shouldn’t give up hope, if my son can get a job during the pandemic your kids can as well!”

Jesse spent his first day at Brumby’s settling in and icing donuts. He’s excited to be getting his uniform soon and already feels like part of the Brumby’s family.
