Introducing Nurah: Psychology, Counselling & Behaviour Support

If you’ve worked with CoAct, you know we believe in person-centred support, the kind that meets you where you are and respects what matters to you.

We’re excited to tell you about Nurah, a new allied health service that brings this same approach to psychology, counselling, and behaviour support. Nurah is part of the CoAct family of services.

Whether you’re looking for support for yourself, a family member, or a participant you work with, Nurah is designed to be straightforward, warm, and genuinely helpful.

What Nurah offers

Behaviour Support

We work with people facing complex needs, and the families and support teams around them. Behaviour support isn’t about fixing someone. It’s about understanding what’s driving behaviour, building on strengths, and creating real improvements in someone’s quality of life and participation in their community.

Counselling

Talk-based support for people working through challenges, whether that’s managing anxiety, working through big changes, dealing with grief, or simply feeling stuck. Our counsellors work at your pace, in a way that feels safe and genuine.

Psychology (launching later in 2025)

Assessment and ongoing support from registered psychologists, available through the NDIS or privately. We work with people across a range of needs and backgrounds.

Who Nurah is for

  • NDIS participants: whether you’re managing your own plan, have support coordination, or work with an agency manager, Nurah can work with most NDIS plan types.
  • Private clients: if you’re looking for support without NDIS funding, our psychologists and counsellors are available at competitive rates. If you have a Medicare Mental Health Care Plan or private health insurance, these may also apply.
  • Referrers: if you work with people who might benefit (support coordinators, GPs, allied health professionals), you can refer directly to Nurah. We keep you informed every step of the way.

Meet our team

We are building a team of registered psychologists, counsellors, and behaviour support practitioners who bring real experience and genuine commitment to every session. Meet our Nurah team.
