Inez steps back into the workforce
Inez connected with CoAct Connect + Community Solutions ready for a new chapter. After spending the last 10 years raising her children, she was keen to get back into work. She brought with her a positive attitude and a strong sense of determination.
At her first appointment with her mentor Mandie, Inez felt a mix of nerves and excitement. Together, they printed her resumes and talked through her next steps.
I was nervous but also excited to get started again,” Inez said.

Building confidence and taking that first step
With Mandie’s support, Inez began her job search. She stayed focused, put herself out there, and kept a positive mindset. It did not take long for her effort to pay off.
Soon after, Inez secured a role at Prices Plus. From the start, she felt like she belonged. She quickly settled into the team and began to enjoy the work.
Inez came in with such a great attitude,” Mandie said. “She just needed that first opportunity to show what she could do.
Thriving at work and inspiring others
Inez has grown in confidence and now genuinely loves her job. She is known for being reliable, friendly and hardworking. Her team values the energy and warmth she brings each day.
Her success is not just about employment. By stepping back into the workforce, Inez is showing what is possible with courage and self-belief. She is proud of how far she has come and excited for what is ahead.
I’m really proud of myself for giving it a go,” Inez said.
Inez’s story is a reminder that it is never too late to start again. With the right support and a positive mindset, new opportunities can open up and lead to something great.
