CoAct recognised as a Disability Confident Recruiter

We are proud to share that CoAct has been acknowledged as a Disability Confident Recruiter (DCR) by the Australian Disability Network.

This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to creating a recruitment experience that is inclusive, accessible and equitable for people with disability. It acknowledges the work we have done to ensure candidates feel supported, respected and able to participate fully throughout every stage of the hiring process.

Strengthening inclusive recruitment practices

Achieving Disability Confident Recruiter status follows an extensive accreditation process. This involved a detailed review of our recruitment practices, identifying opportunities to improve accessibility, and implementing practical measures to better support candidates with disability.

The independent assessment confirmed that CoAct meets all key criteria across areas such as digital accessibility, job design, interviews, workplace adjustments and onboarding.

Importantly, the process also highlighted opportunities for continued growth – ensuring we keep building on this work and embedding inclusive practices across our organisation.

What this means in practice

Being a Disability Confident Recruiter means we are committed to:

  • Providing an inclusive and accessible recruitment process
  • Offering reasonable adjustments for candidates who need them
  • Creating a supportive and welcoming experience for applicants with disability
  • Continuously improving how we attract, recruit and support diverse talent

These commitments are not one-off actions, they are part of an ongoing journey to ensure equity is embedded in how we work.

A step forward in our inclusion journey

This achievement represents an important step in strengthening our broader commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

We recognise that inclusive recruitment is essential to building a workforce that reflects the communities we serve. By reducing barriers and improving accessibility, we are creating more opportunities for people with disability to contribute their skills, experience and perspectives.

Continuing the journey

While we are proud of this milestone, we know there is always more to do. The insights from this process will guide our ongoing efforts to refine and improve our recruitment practices, ensuring they remain inclusive, accessible and responsive.

We remain committed to listening, learning and evolving, so that every candidate has a fair and positive experience with CoAct.
